EQII: Patch Speed
Everquest II has been celebrating the 5th Anniversary of its launch over the last few days, with a special collection, quests in the major cities that you can complete for some nice rewards, and a title - "the Dream Hero". However, when it launched, there was a problem - if you didn't own the latest expansion, The Shadow Odyssey, you couldn't finish the main quest.
I posted on the game forums about this, feeling rather hard done by. I wouldn't mind not being offered the quest, but not being able to finish it felt a bit harsh. Within an hour, I had a reply from one of the developers, Kaitheel, saying:
"This was not intended and Gninja has already corrected the issue on our side. We are hoping to get the change to all live servers tomorrow. I'll let you know if that changes."
And the servers duly updated the following day with the update, and I was able to complete the quest. I'm immensely gratified by the speed of response, and indeed, the personal reply. Kudos!
