Doctor Who: Gridlock Preview

Episode Three of Series Three is titled "Gridlock". Speculation, rumours, and spoilers follow...

The episode is set on New Earth, which will be remembered from Season Two as the place with the Evil Cat Nuns. It's in the year 5,000,000,043 - apparently the most advanced date in any episode of Doctor Who, ever, and twenty years after the Doctor and Rose visited.

The cat-people will be back, it seems, as will the Face of Boe. Hopefully, the Face will reveal whatever secret he's been concealing in this episode!

Ardol O'Hanlon is in the cast list, playing a character called "Thomas Kincade Brannigan", and Novice Hame, last seen in New Earth, will be played again by Anna Hope.

RTD is on record saying that there's more CGI in this episode than any other.

This review for CBBC news states:

'... the Timelord is ready to be told an important message from The Face of Boe ... this is the episode where the Doctor is told a secret that will overshadow the rest of the series. Four words long, it will send shivers up your spine.'

However, there's a chance the episode might not be shown this week. If the football overruns, then it'll be put back to the week after.

The Face of Boe does say something along the lines of "YOU ARE NOT ALONE" but this may not be the exact words that he says. Its possible that the Mondas Cybermen return and that they are the creatures from beneath the fog. This has yet to be confirmed.
