Freema Agyeman: Guardian Inteview
Freema Agyeman has been interviewed by Hannah Pool on the Guardian website.
Personally, I think the questions are pretty rough going, and I figure that if I was in Freema's position, I'd be having a tough time being polite to the interviewer by the end of it- she seemed to be completely unable to let the "black thing" go.
I like the answer to the question about her upbringing on a council estate, though:
I've had journalists beg me to please say something negative about my estate. Every area has good and bad parts. I lived on an estate in north London. We weren't eating gravy every night for dinner, but we might not have been going out for five-star meals. I'm not saying it was all perfect for everybody but in my personal experience is it was just fine.
Basically "look, take your leading questions and shove 'em."
