Begin at the End

The rpg.net forums provide some brilliant ideas, and the discussion of gaming theory, rulesets, and campaigns there means that it's on the list of sites I don't look at from work, lest I be sucked in for hours. Even considering all that, I'm reasonably certain I've never seen a campaign starting with an idea as evocative as this.

It combines a number of things that press my buttons, of course - the epic notion of the end of the world, the mobile city, the baroque-cathedral setting, and the expression of concepts in narrative. Brilliant stuff.
