Doctor Who: Torchwood

I'm undecided as to whether I should create a different category for Torchwood, or continue to post on it under the Doctor Who heading. I'll see how the series goes, and if it contains a lot of reference to the Who continuity, I'll leave it here, and if not, break it out into its own.

Torchwood is, of course, the new spinoff series from Doctor Who, starring John Barrowman as Captain Jack. The general gist is that it's about the Torchwood organisation we've seen so much of in the current series, although presumably they're going to be the good guys in the new show.

It's set in modern Cardiff, which is going to be interesting, considering that in the Doctor Who continuity, Jack was already in modern Cardiff in Season One. And it's post-watershed, which gives it a lot more leeway in terms of script. And it's on BBC Three, which is just strange.

There's not a whole load more solid information available; the BBC seem to be keeping it pretty tight. However, here's a dedicated blog to keep you up to date: Torchwood TV.
