Doctor Who: Army of Ghosts

This is a collection of rumours about the two-part finale of Season Two of Doctor Who. Spoilers follow, naturally.

Number one item is that the Sun (do they have some connection nobody else has?) are saying that Freema Agyeman is to play the next Companion, Adeola.

Actual plot points for the two-parter seem to be fairly wide ranging - Torchwood, Cybermen, the eponymous army of ghosts, a mysterious "sphere" in or under the "Torchwood Tower", and of course the aforementioned invasion - probably the Cybermen, I think, because if there are any more elements, it'll be more potpourri than plot. Nonetheless, the Manchester Evening News tells us that it'll be "Cybermen vs. Daleks".

Russell Davies has been quoted as saying that the season ends on a massive cliffhanger. I'm not keen on cliffhangers, really. They're all right when the next episode is next week, but ending a season with one is becoming a cheap trick.

UK magazine Inside Housing, of all publications, has details on filming in the estate where Jackie Tyler lives, and conversations with ghosts there. This is, of course, an open invitation to bring in Pete Tyler again.

So... it could be great, or it could be terrible. Considering the equal tendencies of Doctor Who to soar above its tackiness and wallow in it, I have no idea which way it'll go this time.
