China Miéville: Un Lun Dun
China Miéville's upcoming novel, Un Lun Dun is now available for preorder from amazon.com. There doesn't seem to be any information available about it, beyond the title, but I'm guessing (complete guess, now) that in the vein of King Rat, it's a contemporary urban fantasy, set in London. Or an un-London, perhaps?
EDIT: A post on the China Miéville mailing list says that China has confirmed at Readercon that the book is a young adult novel. He may be illustrating it himself (that could be the book after that, iit's not entirely clear). It's due for release in February 2007.
FURTHER NEWS: A page on the Del Rey site now shows some sketches by China which will be appearing in the book.
