An 8 year plan is very ambitious but so much money goes into developing/marketing these games that I think the successful ones have to/should live that long...UO is over a decade old and still doing well. Why not a great trilogy ;)...better than not planning hehe
Posted by Matt at December 20, 2007 7:42 AMDepends on how they are going to do in the future, if the player base is large enough I am sure they will expand the game more and more, but 8 years is a long for sure.
Posted by Warhammer Online at January 3, 2008 3:47 PMEight years is a total nonsense. Nobody knows even what hardware there'll be then, let alone what software games we'll want to be playing.
LotR is a so great and well known brand that they can manage to do 8 years planning. with that kind of time line its more than just hardware, visual effects, etc. Its more about the the story, the world, etc.
Posted by Chalet Mont Tremblant at March 17, 2008 7:32 PMI agree 8 years does seem like a really long time to do all that and I bet you by that time technology will shoot up like madness. The first game wasn't even that great, it was ok but not great. I hope the new one will be better because I was a bit disappointed. I love the movies though!
