I kinda long for the old days when there was no interweb and I would have first known that Rose was coming back when I watched the episode where she returns. God, I remember being on the edge of my seat when Sela was revealed in old TNG.

There is a cheap thrill achieveable by reintroducing old characters in games or shows. Audiences like what they are familiar with and enjoy the anticipation they get from predicting familiar reactions.

Is it possible that she will actually be playing a Rose android or a clone of some sort? :)

torchwood storyline; london torchwood in pete's world ??why is there a torchwood??, they must be a different doctor in pete's world to have created it, rose needs help against pete's worlds doctor so she opens a crack in the void

There are only a very few ways they could make this work well and a whole lot more ways this could go wrong. I’m hoping for the best with Rose's return.

I think the fact that anyone can come back adds a bit of mystery to the series (as if we don't have enough) plus as a wise man once said "never say never ever"

I think its good that Rose will come back, although Im glad to stick with Donna for now, Marthas something to look foward to and it is said that Rose has to warn the doctor about his past and ive fitted this in with info from a website, that Davros is in the time war and kills the 8th dr, we will
just have to wait and see, but jack, martha and donna and rose are back.
sarah jane and k9 might turn up in the finale as well.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! Why do we have to wait until the end of season 4 to see Rose????? Even though Rose is back, I heard the Doctor and Rose don't meet again- well not face to face anyway :( ...... I was really looking forward to how they react to each other when they meet again too, i was hoping Rose would be his companion again and that they would be closer than ever.....OHHHH well :( nevermind.

When she left at the end of series 2 i cried! but now shes coming back and i really hope that the doctor gets to tell her that he does love her 2! but having all 3 of them being his companion... ugh oh!
Martha showed signs that she was jelous of rose through out the last season and based on the way rose acted about sara i'm guessing that she isn't going to like martha and donna is loud and speaks her mind... so i have a feeling that there is going to be a huge cat fight over the timelord!!! lol

I think its FANTASTIC Rose coming back!!! Shes a great role model and truly a great partnership for the octor. He has fun with her. Billie Piper does a great job playing her. Btw David Tennant is sexy;P

i am srsly confused. i think its crap that donna is the new doctor who companion, i wish it was a celebrity or something... the doctor and rose were meant for eachother!! anyone could see that. (for those that are observant) the doctor loves one companion for every series (almost) srsly

I like the fact that they are bringing Rose back although I heard that her and the doctor don't actually meet because they are in different world's. I hope they do though, it would be nice to see their reactions :-) I am glad Martha Jones is returning, I liked her the best, I thought she did a fantastic job. As for Donna.... well I love Catherine Tate but her character in Dr Who wasnt that impressive, she was funny and I suppose I will have to see her in more than one episode to make a real judgement on her character. Does anyone know when Dr Who starts???? I heard it was 5th April. BTW David Tennant is gorgeous :-)

Many of you say it's a mockery for Rose to return because the walls went up between dimensions after the batte at Canary Warf. You all conveniently forget that before Doomsday when they left Mickey behind after the first return of the Cybermen the Doctor closes the crack in Time and Space. The Cybermen then find a way in Army of Ghosts to cross over, so how much of a mockery is it really that with the resources of alternate Pete Tyler's Torchwood unit they couldn't find another way to reach out to the Doctor when he's needed most.

Rose was and has been the best companion since the regeneration of the series.

Rose is in the new series of doctor who for like 10 secs then disapears!

What if the Doctor went back in time when the rift was open?
Then when in that universe go to the present pick up rose then go back in time from where the doctor started and they are back in their own universe.

I think that when they bring Rose back, she is going to have to be properly killed off (not that I want that to happen). The writers can't just make Rose say "Oh, yes I can be with the Doctor, but I'm going to choose to not to be with him and go back to the parallel universe anyway" because she is supposed to love the Doctor, enough to sort of die for him, and so she would not choose not to be with him. Grrrr. Annoying problem.

My theory is:-
The Master is coming back, and rose is trying to find the Doctor and warn him.
Season 5 - partners in crime - is rose's 1st appearance - she though she looking for the doctor.
Season 5 - poison sky (2nd part) she appears on the TV link and shouts `Doctor`.

The BBC with either do one of two things -
In the Ep `Plant of the Ood` at the end they say ... soon Doctor your song will end soon - he says, what makes you say that!, they reply all songs come to an end. Considering that there has been talks of him leaving this year - I think the final ep of this season will see the doctor changing yet again, with Rose being there to support him. I also think that she knows what is going to happen to him and wants to protect him - His demise will either be by the Master (who is not gone) or by the new Darleks.

The pre-season launch showed a clip of Rose standing over the Doctor who looked very hurt or dead - so she does come in.. when.... thats another guess.

I am lead to believe that she will appear 4 times - she has already appeared twice - her main appearance will be kept to the end of this series.

I am uncertain about roses return to Doctor who.
It will be great to have her back because she is just unbeatable and will bring back the old days but there are so many different ways it could go wrong and what about catherine tate. I think doctor who has fallen to pieces with new writers and famous people for publlicity, ridiculous

Rose and the Dr where the most romantic little duo, plus now the renownedly sexy david tennant is sure to make the best fitting partner for her. I think their story is such a romance and so worth while, who this woman is in "silence in the library" i dont know and in all honesty dont care, i have longed for rose's return and cant wait for her and the Dr to be reunited. i just wish she was more of a perminent fix to she show. They were in love, what more of a story line do you need, i know i would watch it religiously as always!

David Tennant is signed up for the 3(i think it is) special episodes for 2009 and season 5 in 2010 already. so there won't be any changing of doctors any time soon. i just think that 'your song will come to an end' deal is like when queen victora(i think it was her)chased the doctor wanting his head cut off in season 3... just somewhere they can go off of if they run out of ideas.

Rumors say thats not the ENTIRE final of her and the human doctors appereances. Apparently BBC want to make a Doctor who movie with Rose and her doctor fighting trouble on their world and the doctor and his current compainon fighting a parrelel trouble in his world
