The article really does sum up a couple of reasons why I do not like WoW... the time they require and the mentality of grouping... neither of which I tend to like. And then there's the fact I have very limited control over my character's appearance.
That's why I do actually like City of Heroes/Villains... they give you a lot of customisability to your characters :)

If I had the time or inclination, I'd demolish a lot of his arguments (especially the ToS ones), though I do agree that there's a bias towards group play, especially at endgame. Blizzard have acknowledged this, though, and have promised more content for casual/solo players in the future.
